So you want to be a dog trainer?
|
Why not learn from the best in the Midwest!? When you train with us you will be certified by Abe Mashal himself! Abe owns and operates Leader Of The Pack Dog Training. Abe received all of his certifications while serving on active duty in the United States Marines. All of Abe's methods are humane and do not involve the use of any remote trainers or any physical punishment. We train and certify using only Leadership Based Training Techniques. This method and philosophy is used only by the best trainers, including Dog Whisperer Cesar Milan.
Curriculum Our program is based on how a dog thinks naturally, being domesticated pack animals. We focus on teaching students how to establish pack leadership with all types of dogs. Once this leadership is established the dog will follow the pack leader willingly and eagerly with nothing more than a hand signal or verbal command.
We offer a program for every type of student. Whether you are out of state or have odd work hours, we offer flexible class schedules. All students will be required to complete 24 class hours and 6 dog handling hours. During this time each student will be required to pass 3 handwritten tests and 1 dog handling test. With successful completion of these tests students will have the ability to:
*Train any breed, age or temperament of dog
*Modify any negative K-9 behavior, including aggression
Upon successful completion of the course, students will hold a certification in Leadership Based Training Techniques for Dogs.
Cost Certification cost is $7,500 (20% off for military/law enforcement or fire protection). This cost includes all materials needed for the handwritten and hands-on exams. We offer several different payment plans that will work with anyone's budget. Please call or e-mail for details.
If you are traveling from out of state, we are networked with several resorts and hotels in the area. Please call or e-mail for details.
Acceptance In order to be considered for acceptance all prospective students must complete an application essay. This essay should include background information and explanation of why you want to become a dog trainer.
If you are interested in becoming a dog trainer, please complete the sign-up form and email the essay to abemashal@packleader.org
